In my free time I enjoy challenging myself to design new things. The thing I am most passionate about is app design and learning new ways to improve UX.
I designed a simple landing page and checkout screen for a shoe shop app concept. Users can look through categories to easily find what they are looking for and get ideas when scrolling through the inspiration gallery.
This was one of my first times using the horizontal scroll on Figma. It allowed me to create a more realistic interface, showing how it would work when developed.
When researching, most layouts for music apps are the same. They have a square image relating to the song playing, with a straight line along the bottom, showing how long the song has been playing for. I wanted to take this layout and add something more visually engaging to it.
I made a more unique shape for the image and have the time played line curving in-line with the image. The colour of the main heading (the name of the song) has been taken from the image to create consistency. Other than this, the layout is simple with lots of white space, making it easy to navigate.
Here is a collection of some of my other projects including some more app design and illustrations.

I decided to create a concept for a notes app as part of a side project. This is something people would use daily so it has to be easy to use.
